"With his talent, matinée-idol looks and appeal, Laudano was ebullient as he shined in the show’s title song. A recent college graduate, this young actor has the potential to make a name for himself in musical theatre."

-On The Aisle with Tom Alvarez

Hi there! I am Ian Laudano and I am a NYC/NJ based actor, singer, and dancer. I was born and raised in Central Jersey [yes, it is a real place; and it is Pork Roll, not Taylor Ham]. Brought up in a family of artists – performing artists on my mother’s side and visual artists on my father’s – I had a childhood full of music, paintings, and theatre. The beginning of my own journey as an artist began at two years old while sitting on my grandfather’s lap while he played the piano and I tried to babble along. My first live performance was when I gathered the entirety of my Mother’s family in the living room and sang “Zip-ah-dee-doo-dah” for them all. Subsequent performances included Britney Spears’ “Oops I did It Again” in my Father’s Parent’s home while wailing away at a guitar [with ZERO experience]. From there my performances were limited to school choir concerts until my mother, unbeknownst to me, signed me up for a three week theatre camp where I performed in my first “musical”. If you’re wondering, it was a bizarre mashup between Wicked and The Wizard of Oz where I played the Cowardly Lion. From then on I appeared in every single musical or play my school produced [personal favorites were Guys and Dolls and The Wedding Singer]. Senior year I was stuck between pursuing my passion for theatre in college, and playing it safe and going into school for biology. I decided to apply for both and if my first choices for theatre accepted me it was a sign that the theatre was where I belonged. Sure enough I found myself at Montclair State University and have never looked back.
